We looked at the most searched for and purchased costumes and the results are in.
Halloween is fast approaching, although we would never know with the record temperature highs in Minnesota. Regardless, we are itching to share our favorite dog costumes in the Ope family, as well as the most common pup costumes and where you can buy them.
Dogs in costume are always hilarious. Statistically, here are the world's most popular dog costumes pet owners continually purchase for their furry family members. Have you dressed your pup in one of these popular costumes?

Coming in at nearly 10% of the dog owners who reported, the pumpkin reigns supreme. It’s easy to see why. A cute pup dressed as a classic squash draws eyes and is a true staple of the season. Lemon (one of the Ope’s founders) has been a pumpkin a few years running. With her loaf-like shape she pulls it off better than most.

A crowd pleaser, the Hot Dog costume comes in at 7%. This costume is particularly popular with Dachshund owners (that one seems obvious). Seeing a large breed dressed as a Hot Dog is definitely on our bucket list. The ego bruise an Irish WolfHound may take by wearing it would be worth the photo.
Here's where you can snag one: The Hot Dog
Oddly enough, recent search data indicates dog owners are making the move to the dinosaur. Maybe it’s the revival of Jurassic, maybe someone is trying to pass their lab off as Nessie. The world may never know; what we do know, is dinosaur costumes are on the rise.
Here’s where you can buy one: The Dinosaur
Our family is a big fan of the spooky season. While we enjoy the classic scary movies, the best part easily is dressing up the dogs and heading into public to really make someones day.
These are the crowd pleasers.

While Lemon may have enjoyed being Arwen more than a funny north pole elf, the classic simply fits her better. Though, she’s more accustomed to playing with and destroying toys than she is making them (and sharing). She’d certainly make for a lousy helper, but a super cute one.

Some know this, but Kinsler is the inspiration for our mascot. Seeing him dressed up as a firefighter, the role of mascot certainly suites him more. Kinny looks like he’s far more scared of the fire than a fireman should be.

One of the next best for Lemon is the classic Star Wars heroine, Princess Leia Organa. We feel Lemonade truly gave Carrie Fisher a solid run for her money with this costume. Who wouldn’t trust the fate of the galaxy to this pug?
So, let's be real, who doesn't love a dog in a costume?
